Dom Amato (Head Instructor)

The Head Instructor Shihan Domenic Amato has been training for over 40 years. His qualifications include :

  • Level 2 NCAS coach
  • 7th Dan Freestyle Karate (Guru/Kyoshi Mick Nicholls
  • Urban Defensive Concepts Instructor (Guru/Kyoshi Mick Nicholls)
  • Level 1 Coach Combat Submission Wrestling (Coach Erik Paulson)
  • Muay Thai instructorship ( Ajarn Chai Sirisute)
  • Instructorship in Tactical Modular Knife Systems
  • AKWF life member
  • AFL Tackling Coach 5 years (Collingwood Football Club)

He has competed in and won a number of Non Contact, Semi Contact and Full Contact Kickboxing competitions including winner of 1989 Victorian Full Contact Challenge (open to all styles ) and Victorian WKA Super-middle weight title (1991).
He has also trained in the United States and Europe.
